Use ORATARTRE cold to remove rust, strip, and descale without harming iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze or nickel. However, this product may be harmful to installations composed of light alloys, such as aluminium, or galvanised sheet metal. ORATARTRE can be used cold to strip boilers, pipes, heat exchangers, radiators, heating coils and any industrial installation. Clean concrete mixers, construction site equipment, and cement mixers. Product is ready-to-use, and can be used undiluted to achieve optimal results for tough scale-removing jobs, or it can be used diluted. Always pour ORATARTRE into the water
. Never pour water into ORATARTRE. For regular jobs, dilute ORATARTRE to 20-30% in water to treat corrosion and scale. Product should be used on installations at rest and cold. Ensure good ventilation above the installation to prevent accumulation of carbon dioxide. Fill the installation halfway with water and slowly add the necessary quantity of ORATARTRE. Top up the installation with water once the effervescence has subsided.
To accelerate the scale removal process, it is advised to circulate the mixture in a closed loop or to use compressed air. The time required depends on the extent of fouling, and can be up to 24 hours; do not allow to work beyond 24 hours. In extreme cases, it may be necessary to repeat the operation. After treatment, it is essential to drain, neutralise then rinse the part or installation with water to eliminate any product residue, especially if the product was used at high concentrations; verify that pH is 7.
